Weeks 10, 11, & 12

Over the last few weeks, students in the British Literature class completed their group presentation projects on various genres of Medieval literature: morality drama, ballads, and autobiography. Our second Medieval unit, Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, builds on the work completed in the earlier unit: students will each read a tale in light of the expanding genres of storytelling and each give an individual presentation.

The changes and amendments to the term grades are as follows:

Quarter 1: 45%

Test 1 5%
Test 2 10%
Presentation 1 10%
Presentation 2 15%

As you may note, in the second quarter students will no longer be graded on the upkeep of their notebooks, and the assignments that have been completed have zero values. Students who are completing their Research Paper requirement will have this set of scores account for 25% of their second quarter grades.
